Tanda Hogg is the Vice President and owner of Tri-Town Construction, LLC, based in Fort Myers, Florida. With over 21 years of experience in the construction industry, Tanda leads her team with a hands-on approach, running daily huddles, managing client communications, and guiding design selections. She specializes in residential and commercial new construction, historical restorations, and design-build projects, emphasizing durable, resilient homes and a seamless client experience from concept to completion. Her leadership is rooted in core values of integrity, trust, tenacity, and sustainability, alongside a strong commitment to community and honest business practices.
Tanda began her career in Georgia, contributing to both residential and commercial builds before moving into historical restorations and tax-credit projects in Middle Georgia. Her career evolved as she relocated to Florida, expanding Tri-Town Construction’s offerings beyond roofing and remodeling to full-scale construction and community-focused initiatives. Among her proudest achievements is her leadership in organizing community relief and home restoration efforts following Hurricane Ian, demonstrating her dedication to both her clients and her community.
Educationally, Tanda started at Georgia Military College, attended Rushmore College, and completed a bachelor’s degree in English online. She has also pursued professional certifications and licenses relevant to construction and insurance, and is working to finalize her Florida general contractor license. Active in professional and community organizations, she is affiliated with the Real Producers of Naples, the Association of Professional Builders, and participates in local groups including the Women’s Club of Fort Myers Beach and initiatives supporting the Lee County Sheriff’s Department and historical preservation efforts.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of pure determination and a genuine desire to make my clients happy. Beyond technical knowledge or industry expertise, I believe the most important factor is truly understanding and listening to the people I serve. When you focus on delivering an exceptional experience and meeting your clients’ needs, success naturally follows. After all, word of mouth remains the most powerful form of endorsement anyone can receive.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to educate yourself—truly and completely—inside and out in your chosen field, and to never stop learning. It’s not just about formal education; it’s about understanding your work from every angle and being able to apply that knowledge in day-to-day operations. Equally important is leading in a way that makes your team feel safe, supported, and valued. Success is never achieved alone, and when your team works together as a cohesive unit, you create the foundation for lasting impact.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My best advice for young women entering this industry is to know your passion and let it drive you. Be assertive, genuinely yourself, and develop deep knowledge—because knowledge is power, especially in fields where you may be underestimated or tested. You will face challenges, and others may question or challenge your approach, but responding with competence, integrity, and confidence will earn respect. Staying true to yourself while demonstrating your expertise is the key to thriving.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
The biggest challenges and opportunities in my field stem from how rapidly the industry is evolving. Codes and building methods have shifted in response to major storms, making resilience a top priority—but also increasing costs. A key challenge is building trust with clients and helping them understand why higher standards may come at a higher price. At the same time, this shift presents an opportunity to lead the way in resilient, high-quality construction that truly stands the test of time.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are integrity, trust, tenacity, sustainability, community, leadership, and ownership. These are the principles my team and I developed together, and I strive to live by them every day. At home, honesty is equally important—I want my children to know that doing what’s right, even when no one is watching, is always the best approach.
