Tania Lopez

Community lending and banking leader with over 20 years of experience in mortgage lending, branch management, and financial services, currently serving as VP – Director of Community Lending at OceanFirst Bank. I specialize in expanding equitable access to credit, building strategic partnerships, and developing inclusive lending programs that support underserved communities.

In my current role, I lead initiatives focused on community outreach, financial literacy, and sustainable lending strategies, with a strong emphasis on serving Black, Hispanic, and Asian communities while ensuring full compliance with fair lending regulations.

Previously, I held leadership roles at OceanFirst Bank and Wells Fargo Home Mortgage, where I successfully managed branch operations, drove loan production, enhanced customer experience, and developed high-performing teams. My career began in mortgage origination, giving me a strong foundation in loan structuring, client advisory, and housing finance solutions.

I am passionate about advancing financial inclusion, community development, and responsible lending practices that create long-term economic opportunities.
