About Tanisha
Tanisha Armstrong is engaged with the Patient Professors Program at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, where she serves as a mentor and public speaker providing patient perspective based on living with a rare disease. Through the program she has conducted public speaking for women's groups and community organizations. She previously operated her own consulting business working with nonprofits and individuals interested in starting nonprofits. Her consulting focused on providing technical assistance to help organizations leverage opportunities and become primary recipients of grant funds rather than subcontractors. She continues this work alongside her full-time role in a larger system, with plans to expand her consulting scope and reach.
