Tanya Cummings

Tanya Cummings is a traffic and weather reporter and producer for iHeart, where she has worked for nearly five years. She earned a communication degree and began her career in radio as an announcer in 1996. After transitioning to corporate America, she started DJing 15 years ago when her son asked her to perform at his birthday party. Word of mouth led to corporate gigs, weddings, and women-only events, growing into a full career. Following personal tragedy, she returned to radio during COVID and joined iHeart. In addition to her reporting role, she produces content and maintains a home studio. She also runs a podcast associated with her son's foundation that supports people living with grief, emphasizing that it is okay to live despite loss.
