Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tanya
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to God first and foremost, and to leaders like Evie Fatz and Dustin Bretts who believed in me and took chances on me when I had no recent experience.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Ask for what you want - do not wait to be offered promotions or raises. Nobody succeeds alone; your team puts you in leadership positions so treat them with respect.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Be patient with yourself, you have time. Trust your instincts and yourself. Your value goes beyond physical appearance - your brain and heart matter.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Financial struggles for customers who must choose between healthy food and paying bills, leading to preference for cheap alternatives. Need to show that nutrient-dense local food is an affordable health investment.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Trust and honesty as the foundation for all relationships. Accountability, personal responsibility, and ownership.
