Her Story
About Tanya
Tanya Larry is a Senior Contact Center Coach at HD Supply in Marietta, Georgia, bringing a decade of experience with the company, including seven years in coaching and mentoring. She began her career at HD Supply answering customer calls before transitioning into the coaching department when the opportunity became available locally. In her current role, Tanya supports associates through coaching, mentorship, and practical resources designed to strengthen performance and confidence.
A key part of Tanya’s work is developing quick reference guides for new systems and processes, particularly tools that help associates learn and retain information effectively. As a visual and hands-on learner herself, she understands the value of practical resources and applies that perspective to her coaching approach. Her ability to introduce innovative ideas and create resources that improve team alignment has contributed to practices that have ultimately become standard operating procedures.
Beyond her professional responsibilities, Tanya is committed to personal growth, service, and community involvement. She holds a cosmetologist license and completed one year of studies in medical billing and coding. She also participates in HD Supply’s Heart Organization and Black Heritage group and volunteers with Hands On, including helping build bicycles for children affected by fires in California. Tanya credits the stability and trust she has experienced at HD Supply as important factors in her success and values honesty, initiative, and delivering quality work. She encourages young women entering the field to take chances, embrace opportunities, and not be afraid of failure.

Ten minutes with Tanya
01What do you attribute your success to?

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to appreciate and learn from strong leadership. I’m very grateful for my current employers and the support and guidance they’ve provided throughout my career.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would encourage young women to take chances, embrace challenges, and not be afraid to fail. Mistakes are opportunities to learn, grow, and build confidence.
