About Tanya
Tanya Nathan has spent her career in politics and public affairs. She works for Hilltop Public Solutions, a political consulting and grassroots organizing firm, and has been involved in political campaigns for over 15 years. A graduate of the University of Denver with degrees in political science and international studies, Tanya lives in Denver, Colorado, with her family. She co-hosts the Momarchy podcast, which she started with a colleague to discuss issues facing millennial moms, including politics, culture, and finding common ground. The podcast releases new episodes every Tuesday and has grown into a platform for voices seeking nuance and rejecting extremism.

01What do you attribute your success to?
There is no one person or concept I attribute my success to. I am where I am because of my family, friends, and constant anxiety. Momarchy exists because of our children, literally, and all I want is for my daughter to grow up in an environment that respects her for who she was born to be.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Put your effort, energy, and time into people and places that care back the most. A friend once asked me if I were to disappear tomorrow, who would it impact the most? Don't measure your self worth at a job that you know would not hesitate to replace you. There are too many people whose lives you impact every day that deserve that energy, including yourself.
