What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to the diverse experiences I've had throughout my career—from nonprofit work and corporate travel to sales and customer success. Each role taught me how to adapt quickly, connect with people, and deliver results. When I transitioned into tech, those skills helped me hit the ground running—earning Rookie of the Year in my first year and reaching President’s Club the next.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received was to seek out mentorship. Having someone to offer guidance, share their experience, and challenge my thinking has been invaluable to my growth—both personally and professionally. It reminded me that success doesn’t have to be a solo journey.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to embrace change and be open to new experiences—growth often comes from stepping outside your comfort zone. Believe in your potential, even when the path feels uncertain. And take heart in the progress we’re seeing; companies like Gainsight are actively working toward a more balanced and inclusive environment for women in tech.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field right now is navigating nontraditional career paths in a space that often favors linear, tech-specific experience. Coming from a background in nonprofit, corporate travel, and sales/customer success, I had to quickly adapt, learn new systems, and continuously prove myself. But that challenge has also been one of the greatest opportunities—bringing a fresh perspective, transferable skills, and a deep understanding of people into the tech world.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
In both my work and personal life, I value curiosity, balance, and connection. Whether I’m exploring a new trail or diving into a new project, I’m driven by a desire to grow and learn. My family—my partner, our daughter Carson, and our very loved pit bull mix—keeps me grounded, while outdoor adventures and travel help me stay energized and open to new perspectives.
