About Tara

Tara Didomenico is a Customer Success and Operations leader with more than 18 years of experience building trusted customer relationships, managing complex initiatives, and delivering strong customer experiences from onboarding through long-term support. She currently serves in the customer care department at Toll Brothers, a home building company founded in 1967 in the Bucks County area of Pennsylvania, where she oversees warranty operations across more than a dozen residential communities and manages a large, active portfolio of customer cases. In this role, she communicates with homeowners through chat, email, text, and phone to resolve warranty issues, coordinate repairs, and guide first-time buyers on home maintenance, while also partnering with construction, sales, vendor, and executive teams to support divisions beyond Pennsylvania, including New Jersey, New York, and Massachusetts.

Before joining Toll Brothers, Didomenico spent 13 years as a 911 dispatcher for Chester County Emergency Services, where she trained fellow dispatchers and coordinated high-volume emergency response efforts across police, fire, and EMS resources. Her performance under pressure earned her the Life Saving Achievement Award after she guided a caller through CPR instructions that helped save a life, along with recognition for handling more than a thousand calls in a single year. Seeking a shift away from night shifts and the cumulative stress of dispatch work, she transitioned into customer care, where she has since applied her crisis-management, training, and communication skills to homeowner support. At Toll Brothers, she has been recognized as a Zendesk Champion for improving system adoption and team workflows, and she earned the company's Keystone Award for her tenacity and ability to collaborate across departments.

Outside of her professional career, Didomenico dedicates her time to a senior dog rescue organization, where she manages owner surrenders, oversees social media outreach, transports dogs, and has helped secure media coverage, including a feature on Fox News, to support adoption efforts. She attributes her professional success to hard work, tenacity, and empathy, and she encourages young women entering her industry to ask questions freely and seek out firsthand experience on job sites. Guided by values of empathy, compassion, and family, Didomenico brings the same care she extends to homeowners and rescued animals alike into every aspect of her work and personal life.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tara

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, tenacity, and a willingness to take on challenges head-on. A great deal of it also comes from the skills I developed as a 911 dispatcher, particularly handling stressful situations with composure and delivering strong customer service. Above all, I credit empathy — genuinely understanding where a person is coming from and doing everything I can to help them through their situation.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I received came from my manager, Joe Pettyjohn, who told me, "You can handle it; come to me if you need it, but know that you can handle it." That reminder gave me the confidence to trust my own judgment. I'd also credit Mike Klein, who originally hired me and taught me how to interact effectively with homeowners.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I'd tell young women not to be afraid to ask questions. I came into this field without any construction background, and I made a point of asking questions along the way rather than staying silent. I'd also encourage them not to be afraid to put themselves out there — get out to job sites and see how things are actually built.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I face is managing homeowner expectations. Homeowners often become experts on their own homes, and while you can't always make everyone happy, you have to try your best in every situation. On the opportunity side, our team has also been exploring AI tools to help draft and phrase customer communications, which I've found useful in my own work.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Empathy is the value I hold most important, both professionally and personally. Alongside that, compassion and family matter deeply to me, as does my commitment to senior dog rescue work, which allows me to extend that same care and compassion beyond my career.
