About Tara
Tara Lea is a social entrepreneur, singer/songwriter, producer, and activist dedicated to creating meaningful change through technology, music, fashion, film, and community engagement. She is the Founder and CEO of MEIAH (Mother Earth Is Always Hiring), a technology platform designed to make positive action measurable, verifiable, and rewarding. Through MEIAH, Tara is developing a system that connects people, nonprofits, businesses, and communities with real-world opportunities to create measurable impact.
Tara is also the Founder and President of the Make Peace On Earth Foundation, a social-impact organization focused on mobilizing people around practical actions that benefit humanity, animals, communities, and the planet. Her work combines strategic vision, brand development, philanthropy, environmental awareness, and community participation to encourage people to move from good intentions to measurable action. She is also the founder of Trees of Fame, an initiative that transforms recognition into living environmental legacies by planting trees in honor of individuals whose contributions have made a difference.
A lifelong creative, Tara began singing before the age of one and writing songs at eight, developing a career that has included music production, songwriting, and advocacy. Her work includes songs such as “One World,” which promotes collective action, and she received an honorable mention in a Billboard songwriting competition. Raised on Roosevelt Island in New York City, Tara attended a high school focused on environmental studies before earning her GED at 19. In 2024, she secured $300,000 in funding at a $5 million valuation to advance MEIAH and its related initiatives, reflecting her commitment to building innovative systems that make positive change more accessible, measurable, and scalable.

Ten minutes with Tara
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to six years of dedicated work in my field and to the personal experiences that inspired my mission. As the founder of MEiAH, a technology platform that gamifies environmental impact, and the Make Peace on Earth Foundation and brand, I remain committed to turning my vision into meaningful action. My experiences, daily discipline, commitment to my health and family, and plans to raise funding for the MAYA technology platform continue to drive me forward.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received is to never give up. I left high school at 16 to pursue music and returned at 19 to earn my GED, which taught me the importance of persistence and creating opportunities for myself. My experiences with gaps in the education system and human trafficking also inspired me to advocate for better systems, using technology to promote accountability and protect people.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women is to always share your story because your experiences can inspire and empower others. My own journey, including surviving difficult and dangerous circumstances, inspired me to create the Make Peace on Earth brand, using clothing and creativity to promote unity rather than division. I also encourage women to embrace their creativity and use their voices to make a meaningful impact.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest opportunities in my field right now is gaining the exposure needed to bring my work and vision to a broader audience. I am ready to step into greater visibility, build meaningful connections, and create opportunities that can expand my impact.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me are authenticity, purpose, and the courage to share my story. My experiences and education have shaped my commitment to creating meaningful change, particularly around environmental and social issues. I value using my journey, achievements, and voice to inspire others and contribute to a more peaceful and sustainable future.
