What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to staying open-minded and fearlessly trying new things. Growing up with the mindset of “Why not? What’s the worst that could happen?” taught me to embrace opportunities and adapt quickly. I prioritize people-first leadership, recognizing talent, and helping others grow in their careers. I’ve also learned to pivot when needed—whether moving from pre-med to retail leadership or healthcare operations—and fully own each path I take.
What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I ever received was: when that voice in your head says you’re not good enough, tell it to shut up—it’s wrong and it’s lying. I’ve found imposter syndrome is a universal experience, especially for women in leadership, and I make it a priority to challenge that narrative for myself and for the women I mentor.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering this industry is simple: don’t shrink yourself—take up space, and don’t wait for permission to lead. Be intentional about developing others, not just yourself, and leverage your operational knowledge to make a real impact on patient care, not just the bottom line.
What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in healthcare today is ensuring teams don’t lose sight of the “why”—serving patients—amid corporate and operational demands. It’s also critical to connect operational metrics to real human care, especially in the evolving Medicare Advantage space. At the same time, there are tremendous opportunities: mentoring the next generation of medical assistants, coordinators, and office managers, and helping healthcare organizations thrive by building strong, collaborative teams focused on growth and quality outcomes.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that guide me in both my work and personal life are resilience, passion, and creativity. Resilience helps me navigate challenges in life and leadership with strength. Passion fuels my dedication to my work as well as my personal pursuits, and creativity—whether in problem-solving or artistic expression—drives me to innovate and find new solutions.
