01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my resilience and my ability to overcome challenges. Every struggle I’ve faced has strengthened me, empowered me, and taught me to believe in myself even when the path ahead wasn’t clear. I truly believe that our mindset shapes our future: “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t, you’re right.” I choose to believe I can, and I refuse to let my past define how far I can go.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve ever received is to never let where you start determine where you finish. Your past does not define your potential, and obstacles don’t have to be the end of your story. Keep learning, keep showing up, and don’t be afraid to bet on yourself; even when others may not see what you see. Sometimes you have to be willing to believe in yourself before anyone else does.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Don’t be afraid to take up space, use your voice, and believe in your own potential. Your path may not look like everyone else’s, and that’s okay. Stay curious, keep learning, surround yourself with women who genuinely want to see you succeed, and never let someone else’s expectations become the limit of what you believe you can accomplish. Most importantly, remember that where you come from doesn’t determine where you’re going.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in the nonprofit field is meeting growing needs while securing the resources to make a lasting impact. At the same time, I see an incredible opportunity to build stronger communities through collaboration, storytelling, and authentic relationships with donors and supporters. When we help people understand not just the need, but the person behind it, we create opportunities for meaningful change. I believe the future of nonprofit work is rooted in connection, innovation, and empowering people to become part of the solution.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Integrity, compassion, resilience, and authenticity are the values that guide me in both my work and personal life. I believe in doing the right thing, even when no one is watching, and treating people with dignity and respect regardless of where they come from or what they’ve been through. I value relationships built on trust, genuine connection, and the belief that we are stronger when we lift each other up. Above all, I want my life and my work to leave people better than I found them.
