About Tara
Tara Willis is an independent contemporary gospel music creator and producer based in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She began her consistent work in the music industry in 2019 after withdrawing from Full Sail University, where she studied music production, to focus on her family. She later earned a master's degree in business, which provided her with the knowledge to support and manage her music career independently, handling distribution, marketing, and royalties without contracts or oversight. Willis creates contemporary gospel music, often composing instrumentals first and fitting words to the sound after periods of focused meditation. Her professional achievements include being selected in 2024 by Narak Global to create music for a movie premiere, an opportunity connected through her travels with 2Hot Radio. Beyond music, she is connected to End Time Harvest Ministries International, where she participates in missionary work in Africa and India, provides support for orphanages and widows, assists with church repairs, and offers music therapy sessions using instrumental music for healing and prayer.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
You have to believe and invest in yourself first before anybody else will. If you don't believe or invest in yourself, then that energy that you bring, that mindset that you have, everybody else is going to have that mindset. I had to take on a mindset that, hey, I'm somebody. I had to literally be an encourager of myself because there were many people that stood against me.
