Her Story
About Tashia
Tashia Leon is an entrepreneur, author, speaker, and founder of Moms Making Moves—a movement created to help women reconnect with themselves, gain clarity, and build lives aligned with who they truly are.
After becoming a mother, Tashia found herself balancing career, responsibilities, and the pressure to “do it all” while slowly losing connection with her own identity, goals, and vision. That experience became the foundation for the work she does today.
With over a decade at American Express and a master’s degree in Information Technology Project Management, Tashia blends corporate leadership, mindset development, and real-life experience to help women move beyond survival mode and become more intentional in how they live, lead, and grow.
Through coaching, programs, speaking, and community, she empowers women to rebuild confidence, gain clarity, and take aligned action toward the life they truly want—without pressure, perfection, or losing themselves in the process.
She is also the founder of Moms Making Moves Mission, a nonprofit focused on supporting mothers and families through mindset development, community initiatives, and access to growth opportunities rooted in legacy and long-term impact.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tashia
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my faith, which has grounded me and guided me even in seasons where nothing felt clear. Beyond that, it’s been resilience and a willingness to keep moving forward—even when I didn’t have all the answers. I’ve learned to trust my vision, even when it doesn’t make sense to others yet. And more importantly, I’ve learned to choose myself—consistently. That decision alone has changed everything.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice I’ve received is to never build a life around something that drains you. Roles can be replaced—but your peace, purpose, and fulfillment cannot. Once I understood that, I stopped making decisions based on comfort and started making them based on alignment.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Know yourself before trying to build anything. Your voice, values, and perspective are your greatest assets. Skills can be learned, but self-awareness is what allows you to lead with confidence, connect authentically, and create something meaningful.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges today is the amount of noise—constant messages, quick fixes, and pressure to keep up. But that’s also the opportunity. People are craving depth, honesty, and real transformation. I believe lasting change happens when women feel seen, supported, and empowered to move intentionally rather than perform for appearances.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Faith is my foundation. It guides how I lead, serve, and make decisions. From there, everything else flows—integrity, growth, resilience, and the desire to create impact that extends beyond success on paper and truly changes lives.
