Tashika Truesdale
Tashika Truesdale is the Assistant Principal at Fulton County Schools in Atlanta, Georgia, and a distinguished Teacher of the Year. With over 15 years of experience in education, she is dedicated to fostering academic excellence, supporting student growth, and cultivating collaborative and inclusive school environments. Her leadership is informed by extensive expertise in curriculum development, classroom management, educational technology, and instructional best practices, enabling her to effectively guide both staff and students toward success.
Before assuming her current role, Tashika served as Curriculum Coordinator and Curriculum Support Teacher, where she implemented innovative teaching strategies and provided guidance to educators to enhance instructional quality. She began her career in North Carolina, teaching at both elementary and high school levels, gaining valuable experience across diverse educational settings. Throughout her career, she has been recognized for her ability to build meaningful connections with students, families, and colleagues, fostering supportive and empowering learning communities.
Tashika holds an Education Specialist (Ed.S.) degree in Teacher Leadership from Walden University and a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Lesley University. Her professional expertise encompasses lesson planning, curriculum design, literacy development, interpersonal communication, and public speaking. Known for her dedication, vision, and mentorship, Tashika continues to make a significant impact in education, inspiring excellence and guiding both students and educators to achieve their highest potential.
