Her Story
About Taylor
I am a Director of Marketing and Communications and co-founder of an agency. I specialize in high-profile viral campaigns for nonprofits and Fortune 500 companies including Logitech and Nike, focusing on digital paid advertising, organic social media, branded video production, and commercials. My path began as a viral YouTube star creating music and comedy content in my early 20s, which unexpectedly led to speaking engagements and a marketing career. I hold a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Southern California but am largely self-taught in marketing through creating my own content and learning on the job.

Ten minutes with Taylor
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to knowing my natural affinities and strengths, pursuing careers that align with them, and being hands-on by creating content myself which taught me the ins and outs of marketing. Being self-taught through making my own videos and going viral helped me understand what makes content successful.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best advice is that every human is hopeful and trying to make their lives better, even if their actions seem misguided. Approaching situations with this understanding helps take things less personally and fosters better interactions.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Just do it. Create campaigns, make ads, start making content, and learn all facets of marketing hands-on. Get in there and edit videos yourself, work with videographers, master the area you're advising on so you understand the pitfalls and can direct effectively.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Kindness, oneness, and respect are most important. I believe everyone and everything is equal and alive, deserving respect whether animal, plant, or bug.
