About Teagan

Teagan Mockus is a strategic operations and executive support professional currently serving as Executive Assistant to the Chief Strategy Officer at Ridge IT Cyber. In this role, she partners closely with executive leadership to support revenue operations, CRM governance, and go-to-market execution. Her work spans HubSpot management, executive dashboards, performance reporting, and cross-functional coordination across Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and HR. She also supports financial oversight through commission audits, revenue reconciliation, and operational analysis that informs executive decision-making.

Her career path reflects a progression from people-centered roles into systems, training, and cybersecurity operations. She began in the fitness industry and later moved into education, supporting student development and academic counseling. She then transitioned into instructional design and training at WorkWise Compliance, where she focused on onboarding, system education, and process enablement. These experiences led her into cybersecurity operations, where she now integrates process optimization, reporting, and stakeholder alignment in support of organizational growth.

Teagan holds a Master’s degree in Business Management from Durham University Business School and a Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business from Merrimack College. A former collegiate athlete and women’s lacrosse captain, she brings a team-oriented approach to leadership, with a focus on culture-building, accountability, and execution. Her areas of specialization include company culture development, partner and vendor relationships, metrics reporting, and executive-level operations, with a professional emphasis on connecting strategy to execution and enabling high-performing teams.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Teagan

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my parents and to my siblings. They are the ones who have not only supported me, but as the youngest in my family, I've had such an incredible front-row seat to what it means to put sacrifices aside so that your family can have food on the table. What does it mean to sacrifice your wanting to go and do vacations and go to the beach and do all these things, but unfortunately, sometimes you gotta put work first, or you gotta work towards a goal to get where you want your end goal. That's really where I attribute my sister, my brother, and both of my parents - being able to watch them grow into the professionals that they are has inspired me to work 10 times harder, because I'm like, well, I'm gonna beat that.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice that I've ever received was from one of my old colleagues here at Ridge IT. I used to have this bad habit of putting a limit on myself, saying I'm only 28, or I'm only an executive assistant, or I'm only - I would limit what I was. And he said, don't limit yourself like that. Retrain your brain. You are the best at whatever you can put your mind to, and you can be the best at anything. That really awoke me to no longer putting that subconscious limit of, I'm only 28, or I'm only this, and it's helped me gain so much more confidence. I think that's why I'm now up for this promotion, because I really stepped into those shoes of, okay, you know what? I am the best, and everyone needs to see how I am the best.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I value both personal well-being and meaningful community involvement in my work and life. Living in Florida, I enjoy outdoor activities such as paddle boarding and spending time in the ocean, as they help me stay grounded and connected to nature. I am also passionate about giving back through local, hands-on initiatives, particularly grassroots organizations that create real community impact. While I previously lived on Davis Island, which was affected by flooding during Hurricane Helene, I remained engaged with the area and its residents. I especially value participating in activities like beach cleanups, where families and community members come together, as these experiences allow me to contribute to meaningful change while building genuine connections with others.
