Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to growing up in the 80s during the dawn of personal computing, which helped me recognize two key factors. First, I realized that success stems from identifying inefficiencies and taking action by finding a solution. That grew into my 4E Framework: Explore, Experiment, and Execute Effectively. • Explore the inefficiencies (what needs improvement in my personal and professional life) • Experiment with resources (people, training, and now AI) • Execute and refine as necessary to work Effectively and with confidence. Secondly, I focused on setting bite-sized goals that build into long-term wins. I call this Success Stacking. For example, I often ask myself: What can I master in three months? Those small wins add up to tangible achievements, and it is these achievements that lead to lasting success.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received is to focus on building strong partnerships with your leader, team, and clients. That partnership becomes the foundation for trust and the willingness to deliver high performance that any organization will value. I’ve embodied this advice throughout my career. It’s what allowed me to gain the trust of leaders and those I train, and it opened the door to new opportunities I wouldn’t have reached on my own.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the industry is "your voice matters." Lead with accountability, integrity, and initiative consistently, even if you’re the youngest person in the room. When you hold yourself to those values, others will respect your contributions and recognize your impact.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest challenge and opportunity in my field right now is keeping up with the fast-paced and innovative technology. Still, the opportunity is that those who embrace it early, especially women, can truly thrive in their roles. Additionally, there are more opportunities than ever for women in the technology sector. With today’s devices and tools, balancing family and career is far more achievable than it was in the 90s. At the same time, the IT industry is undergoing a transition with AI and new technologies reshaping how we work today. This is an exciting time to step forward with confidence, embrace the change, and help shape the future of technology.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that guide me in both work and life are accountability, integrity, and initiative. I believe in taking ownership of my actions, doing the right thing even when no one is watching, and leading rather than waiting for direction. And at the core, I live by PVM (Passionate, Visionary, Maximizer): being Passionate about what I do, Visionary enough to see possibilities others might miss, and a Maximizer who helps people and processes reach their full potential. Titles like MVP are meaningful, but for me, it always starts with being a PVM.
