About Teresa

Teresa Roche is a seasoned marketing leader with nearly two decades of experience in the technology industry and approximately nine years at Meta. She currently serves as Head of Lifecycle and Emerging Channels Marketing for Meta’s Reality Labs business, where she leads a global marketing team responsible for multiple channels supporting sales and retention for Meta’s AI-powered glasses and virtual reality products. Her career has also included leadership across customer success, customer education, digital marketing, growth marketing, sales, support, and operations.

Throughout her career, Teresa has built and scaled teams and developed marketing organizations to meet evolving business needs. At Meta, she established and grew the Customer Education and Customer Success function for the company’s enterprise business from an initial team of one to more than 25 people. She later led global digital and growth marketing for Meta for Work before moving into lifecycle marketing. In her current work, she has helped expand lifecycle marketing beyond traditional email-based retention programs into a multi-channel function that supports customer engagement, sales, retention, and new prospect acquisition while collaborating with engineering teams on marketing technology.

Teresa’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in International Business and Finance from Georgetown University and an International MBA with a focus on International Business and Marketing from the University of South Carolina. She describes herself as a perpetual learner and has built her career by embracing new challenges and creating opportunities to expand her impact. Her professional interests center on technology, lifecycle marketing, digital and growth marketing, customer engagement, and emerging technologies. Outside of her corporate career, Teresa has maintained a longstanding connection to the Special Olympics, having volunteered as a volleyball and swimming coach, reflecting her continued commitment to community involvement.

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to the strong work ethic my parents modeled while raising eight children, showing me the importance of commitment and work-life balance. I also credit my own grit, determination, and perseverance.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve received is that a company will take from you what you’re willing to give, so it’s important to ask yourself what you want to gain from the company in return.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Don’t sell yourself short. Apply for opportunities even when you don’t meet every requirement, and be willing to stretch yourself. Take the initiative to connect with people who have what you aspire to achieve and learn from their experience.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is gaining visibility and making your contributions recognized. At the same time, creating opportunities to showcase your skills and impact can help position you for career growth and advancement.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values most important to me are integrity, family, health, and open communication. I strive to lead with honesty, prioritize the people I care about, maintain my well-being, and communicate with clarity and respect.
