About Teresa
Teresa Vandevander is a licensed life insurance representative and financial services professional dedicated to helping individuals and families prepare for their financial futures. Through her work with Primerica, she provides life insurance services, financial analysis, and referrals for additional resources that can support clients with needs such as auto and home insurance, mortgages, home security, and legal assistance. She is also a KonnectMD ambassador, reflecting her interest in connecting people with resources that can contribute to their overall well-being.
Before entering the financial services field, Teresa spent more than a decade in retail, building extensive experience in customer service, sales, stocking, food service, and management responsibilities. Her transition into insurance was driven by a desire to help others and make a greater impact in people's lives. Today, she continues to expand her knowledge and professional capabilities while studying for securities investment licenses, including the SIE, Series 6, and Series 65. She credits mentorship and guidance from Kendall and Ebony Westbrook with helping her grow throughout this journey.

01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a strong sense of purpose and a genuine desire to help others and give more. My determination and perseverance, especially in overcoming challenges and passing my licensing exams, have also played a significant role in my journey.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I’ve received has come through the guidance and mentorship of Kendall and Ebony Westbrook of Massachusetts, who have been incredible mentors and have helped guide me throughout my journey.
03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
One of the biggest challenges in my field is that many people are hesitant to discuss life insurance or do not understand the differences between term and whole life policies. Rising end-of-life costs make early planning increasingly important, especially because health issues can make coverage more difficult or expensive to obtain later.
04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values that matter most to me are striving to be the best person I can be, doing what is right, treating everyone with kindness and respect, and helping others whenever I can.
