Her Story

About Teresa G.

Teresa Krueger is a board-certified chaplain with over 15 years of experience in spiritual care, specializing in hospice, palliative, and medical settings. Her professional journey began at St. Luke’s Medical Center and evolved through nearly a decade at Heart ‘n Home Hospice & Palliative Care, where she served as a Medical Social Services Educator focusing on spiritual care. These formative years shaped her trauma-informed, compassionate approach to supporting individuals and families during critical life transitions.

In 2021, Teresa joined the Boise VA Medical Center, where she currently serves as the Chief of Chaplain Services. Since stepping into this leadership role in July 2025, she has been responsible for guiding chaplaincy programs that serve the spiritual needs of veterans with integrity, cultural sensitivity, and emotional depth. She holds advanced board certification in hospice and palliative care through the Spiritual Care Association and is also a certified chaplain through the National Association of Veterans Affairs Chaplains.

Beyond her professional roles, Teresa is deeply engaged in her community. She enjoys singing in her church choir, volunteering, and participating in local service organizations such as the Daughters of the American Revolution. Whether in the clinical setting or her personal life, Teresa is grounded by values of faith, service, and human connection—bringing warmth and leadership to every space she enters.
