Terri Guthrie
Terri “Travel with Terri” Guthrie is an accomplished travel journalist, podcaster, and photographer based in the Dallas–Fort Worth Metroplex. With a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Journalism from The University of Southern Mississippi, Terri has built an impressive career sharing her passion for exploration and storytelling. She produces and hosts the popular Travel with Terri Show on Big Blend Radio and TV Magazine, a weekly podcast where she highlights destinations and experiences from around the world. Her engaging travel stories are also featured bi-monthly in The Cross Timbers Gazette and monthly in numerous Murray Media Lifestyle Magazines across North Texas. Additionally, she contributes to Newsweek Magazine’s “Best Of” segment and partners with American Airlines for AAVacations.
Throughout her career, Terri has visited more than 60 countries across six continents, specializing in luxury and multi-generational travel. Her work captures the beauty of upscale hotels, cultural immersion, local cuisine, and historical attractions through vibrant writing, photography, and video storytelling. With over 500 published travel articles and multiple national photography awards, Terri’s creative eye and authentic enthusiasm for adventure continue to inspire travelers everywhere. She is a proud member of the Texas Travel Alliance, Trav Media of North America, the Society of American Travel Writers, and the International Food Wine Travel Writers Association.
Beyond her professional achievements, Terri is deeply committed to giving back to her community, supporting the Alzheimer’s Association and the American Cancer Society. When she isn’t exploring new destinations, she enjoys boating, spending time with family and friends, and discovering the hidden gems of her home state of Texas. Her passion for exploration and connection drives her mission—to inspire others to experience the joy, wonder, and enrichment that travel brings to life.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute much of my success to my husband—he’s been an incredible source of support and also serves as my trusted editor.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to not let rejection discourage you. There will be many obstacles along the way, but each one is an opportunity to grow stronger. If one path doesn’t work out, find another way to reach your goals—keep jumping over those hurdles until you get to where you want to be.
