Ten minutes with Teryn

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

People don't necessarily trust or remember the things that you do for them, but they remember how you make them feel. It's important because it goes into all interactions when doing business or building relationships. It's a service mindset.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

You can do it. Know that you can do it before pursuing something because there are pressures, competitive nature, and voices saying you can't. Once you know it's a possibility, you can handle the challenges.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Funding issues because creatives are taught to create but hard to put value in the work. Articulating value outside the industry. Scarce mindset about AI and technology scaring musicians. Brand identity and understanding long-term career goals. Discipline not treated seriously.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Respect for everyone you encounter because it changes how you treat the situation and brings value. Honesty, integrity. Having fun because the work is intense and fun energy is important.
