Her Story
About Theresa
Theresa Anderson has spent approximately 36 years in the legal industry. She began her career in social work after earning her degree from the University of Minnesota, working in the court system as an advocate for incarcerated teenage males. A judge encouraged her to attend law school, where she focused on policy rather than litigation and chose not to become bar certified. Anderson developed expertise in affordable housing, creating mortgage products for underserved communities and challenging HUD requirements, before transitioning to federal policy analysis in civil rights at Homeland Security. She also contributed to nonprofit efforts, including six years with a food agency and missionary work abroad. Currently, Anderson is seeking a role reviewing international financial trade regulations.
