About Theresa
Theresa Armstrong serves as an IT Project Manager for the City of Bradenton, Florida. With about 10 years of experience in project management and 5 years focused on IT, she brings a strategic approach to her role by aligning technology initiatives with broader business objectives. She develops strategic plans and roadmaps while fostering collaboration across departments to ensure teams share a common vision and pursue continuous improvement. Theresa began her career in South Florida after joining a county in a support role at the administrative level, where exposure to information technology sparked her passion for the field, including its technological, mathematical, and strategic elements. She pursued her PMP certification and Lean Six Sigma belt certification to advance in project management, which she finds fulfilling through connecting people and ideas. Theresa holds an associate's degree in communications from the University of Phoenix and maintains membership in the Project Management Institute. She advises young women entering the industry to have no fear, take risks, recognize that opportunities always exist, and refuse to let others define their limitations.
