About Theresa
Theresa Lang is a Product Manager with 21 years of experience in the technology space. She began her career in the Washington, D.C. area as a receptionist at a law firm, where she was introduced to early technology tools such as word processors and graphic work, sparking her interest after initially aspiring to become a lawyer. Lang progressed to roles as a business analyst, project manager, and program manager before focusing on product management for over five years. In this capacity, she has worked with companies such as Edward Jones, UPS, and the marketing firm All Wrapped Up, leading efforts with Scrum teams and lean and agile technologies while facilitating stand-up meetings. Lang maintains an open-door policy on her team and advises young women entering the industry to ask many questions without fear. Outside of her professional work, she volunteers with her church's community mission, daycare, and senior citizen recreational center.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
I would give the advice to ask a lot of questions. Don't be afraid to be that person to stand up and ask questions... if you ask questions, then at least you have some direction as to what you need to find out, what you need to know. Sometimes, you don't even know what you don't know. I have an open-door policy myself on my team.
