About Theresa
I am currently an educator teaching in-person lab and lecture classes, virtual classes, and hybrid classes from associate degree level up to a master's degree level. My work schedule runs primarily Monday to Thursday with up to 30 students per class. I handle curriculum, grading, lecturing to impact knowledge on students. Previously I was a clinical research assistant working with pediatrics kids diagnosed with cancer, preparing them for clinical trials and educating patients. Prior to that I worked in Bellevue Hospital as a patient care associate with pediatrics. I have a passion for the younger population and for teaching and mentoring students to help the future of healthcare professionals.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
First of all, you need to adapt a passion for teaching before you just decide to do it. Focus on loving both yourself and the subject that you are teaching, and also those students. That could be most rewarding. Network with your colleagues. Take it in strides because you could come here like myself, came to this field green, and before you know it you could get looking up to you if you just put some passion in it. Know what you want to do. Focus not only on the students, you've got to focus on you, you've got to focus on that subject, and it would be rewarded.
