About TiAira

TiAira Neal brings 15 years of DEI experience and 20 years of professional experience to her roles across sectors. She currently serves as well-being and culture director at Rutgers University-Camden, supporting faculty, staff, students, and community partners in Camden City and County. As CEO of her consulting practice, she delivers individualized well-being strategies, leadership coaching for emerging leaders, and tailored employee resource groups. She also wrote Confident Women Win, a book guiding women leaders through challenges with resilience and authenticity. Additionally, as a faith leader she maintains a parachurch ministry and serves as an associate minister, developing paradigms around well-being and inclusion. Her educational path includes studies at Morgan State University, community college, Rutgers University-Camden, University of Pennsylvania, Palmer Theological Seminary, and Stockton University, where she is completing an EDD in organizational leadership. She holds sanctuary certification and trauma-informed therapist certification.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say think less about what people have to say about you and do what feels right. I spent a lot of time really trying to manage the impressions of others especially as a woman of color. If I could really tell my younger self something it would be don't listen to what they say do what feels good to you.
