About Tiana
Tiana Clegg serves as Manager of Middle School and High School Science at a charter school company in New York City. She began her career in education around 2021 after initially aspiring to the medical field, teaching high school science for the majority of her early career before transitioning into middle school. In her current leadership role, which marks her second school year, Tiana focuses on data-driven outcomes for regents and state tests across the organization. She analyzes student performance data to implement or revise curriculum materials, ensuring students are prepared for high school and beyond. One of her proudest achievements includes leading efforts that resulted in a 98% pass rate on the biology regents exam organization-wide, with one school achieving a 100% pass rate despite challenges with a newer region.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Any opportunity is not too small. Small opportunities can lead to bigger ones, even if it's something you initially might not want to do. Every small experience or larger opportunity has a lesson learned from it, and those opportunities are part of the journey that led to my current role.
