Ten minutes with Tierra

01What do you attribute your success to?

My determination and resilience, not wanting to give up, and committing an attitude of excellence to everything I do. I give my best in all roles at the university and in the community.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Go in it, give it your all, but know that the plan may shift. Be presented with opportunities that allow you to grow, don't be afraid to take those on, and be willing to learn along the way. No task or project is too big or small. Keep an attitude of gratitude.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

Navigating a space of the unknown with layoffs and challenges with professional development opportunities. Even without internal support, self-invest in trainings because the outcome will be for your best good.
