About Tiffanee

I work for Synovus Bank as a Team Member Engagement Advisor, a position I've held for about 2 months after serving as a Learning Specialist for over 3 years. I've been with Synovus for approximately 10 years total. Currently, I'm playing a key role in our merger with Pinnacle Financial Services, traveling throughout Georgia and Florida on a culture bus tour to bring two amazing companies together. My day-to-day involves standing up culture clubs, connection councils, and wellness clubs - all focused on keeping our team members energized and engaged. We're bringing people back together after the pandemic, focusing on connection and community. I'm responsible for these initiatives across Georgia and Florida. This role is truly a dream come true because when I first came to Synovus 10 years ago, I was excited about the community work we did with United Way and Feeding the Valley, and I knew then that I wanted to bring team members together and work in the community. My professional values center on putting people first in everything I do, making sure I represent myself well, and ensuring our team members always feel good. I show up as my authentic self at work, just as I am at home.

Ten minutes with Tiffanee

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to authenticity and having a strong support system - what I call my 'starting five.' My starting five consists of my peers, leaders in the company, and people in my community that I lean on. The best advice I've received from them is to always be my authentic self. Authenticity has been a huge word for me from 2024 leading into 2025 and 2026. I always want to make sure that I am putting my best foot forward and making sure that I show up as myself, no matter what. I do not want to show up as anybody else, because everybody else is taken. I'm truly the same person at work as I am at home, and I always want to make sure that I am representing myself well and that people perceive me the way I want them to.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I've received is to always be my authentic self. This advice came from my 'starting five' - my circle of peers, leaders in the company, and people in my community who know me well. Authenticity has been a huge word for me from 2024 leading into 2025 and 2026. I always want to make sure that I am putting my best foot forward and showing up as myself, no matter what. I do not want to show up as anybody else, because everybody else is taken. That's been huge for me - making sure I'm the same person at work as I am at home, and that I'm representing myself well so people perceive me the way I want them to.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

I would say always remember your passion. I always knew what my passion was - my passion was for people, my passion was for bringing people together, putting people first, being in the community, and making sure that I am giving back to the underserved of our community. That's always been a huge thing for me that I always tell people: go with your passion, because you want it to be a true career that is not just a job, not just something that you dread coming to every day. You always have to remember your passion, because then it's no longer work. It's what you value, it's what you have inside of you that you strive to be better every day. So it definitely would be, remember your passion.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my role right now is maintaining work-life balance. We are very busy with a lot of travel, and my husband drives trucks, so he's usually gone the days that I'm gone. When I come back home, it's hard to say no to people trying to get me to do different things on the weekend, because I love people and I love being around people. But I have to remember that I have given everything I have for the last 5 days, and if I don't have anything for my family or my husband, that's not balanced. That has been a challenge for me, and I have to be very intentional about making sure that I find the time for them as well. Sometimes you just need to rest, even when you love what you do.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

My professional and personal values really go hand in hand, because I am truly the same person at work as I am at home. The most important value to me is always putting people first - putting people at the center of everything that we do. Of course, you don't forget about yourself, but it's always about making sure that I am giving off the best impression of myself and representing myself first. Then, of course, I represent Synovus and Pinnacle, but I also want to make sure that our team members always feel good and that I'm putting them ahead of myself. I always want to make sure that I am representing myself well and that people perceive me the way I want them to. That's by far one of my top values.
