Tiffani Teachey

Tiffani Teachey is a Senior Mechanical Engineer in the energy industry and a passionate advocate for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education. With nearly two decades of engineering experience, she has built a distinguished career in project management, design engineering, and technical leadership while simultaneously dedicating her work to inspiring the next generation of STEM leaders.
An award-winning author, Teachey has written the acclaimed STEM Crew Kids Adventures children’s book series and What Can I Be? STEM Careers from A to Z, which is available in multiple languages including Spanish, French, Italian, and Swahili. She is also the author of 10-Minute STEM Experiments for Kids: Fun and Easy STEM Projects to Do at Home and co-author of empowering works such as Saving Lives While Fighting for Mine: Stories Empowering Women to Win, Pretty, Paid, and Powerful: 40 Days to Empowering the Woman Within, and The Whole Entrepreneur.
In addition to her writing, Teachey is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of the STEM Crew Magazine and host of The STEM Blueprint Podcast. She also leads a publishing consulting agency that helps aspiring authors bring their stories to life. Through these platforms, she strives to make STEM accessible and engaging for children, parents, and educators while emphasizing the importance of representation in STEM careers.
Teachey’s work has earned her recognition and numerous awards, including honors
from the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and UNC Charlotte. She is actively involved with professional and community organizations such as the Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators (SCBWI), the Children’s Book Council, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Incorporated, where she helps guide national STEM initiatives.
Dedicated to service and mentorship, Teachey balances her professional career with volunteer work, youth mentoring, and public speaking. She enjoys traveling, sharing her expertise as a STEM advocate, and continuing to empower both children and adults to dream big, embrace STEM, and pursue their passions with confidence.

What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to my dedication to continuous growth and my passion for inspiring the next generation. As a TEDx speaker on STEM for youth, I’ve had the privilege of sharing my journey and encouraging young minds to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. My commitment to hard work, perseverance, and using my platform to uplift others has been the foundation of my achievements.
