About Tiffani

Tiffani Vasinko is a Customer Success Lead with nearly 16 years of experience in the SaaS and technology industry. She began her career in sales at Groupon in Chicago during its early influential startup phase. Recognizing her strengths in building customer relationships rather than cold calling, she transitioned into account management, which evolved into the modern customer success role. Over the years, Tiffani has progressed from an individual contributor to a director-level position, gaining expertise in the evolution of tech hardware and software. In her current role, she has built customer success processes, procedures, and cross-functional interactions from the ground up as the primary CSM for an extended period. She serves as a player-coach, leading teams while developing new customer success managers and mentoring others on complex issues. Tiffani values honest business practices, setting proper expectations to avoid over-promising, advocating for customers internally and externally, and ensuring mutual success for clients and the company. She advises professionals to live comfortably in ambiguity, especially in startups, and encourages young women in tech to confidently state their opinions in male-dominated environments.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tiffani

01What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

Live comfortably in the ambiguity in startups. Learn that you're not gonna have all of the answers, but know that you have the ability to figure them out as you go. It's also not gonna be perfect, but you have that ability to understand how to navigate those gray areas.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

If you have an opinion and you think it's the right one, state it. Don't be afraid of being the one that's difficult. Be respectful always but state why you think something is great or has areas of improvement. Know that if you're in the room already, you're in there for a reason.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I don't like lying to customers. Making sure you're setting proper expectation. Making sure that your customers are something you're fighting for internally and externally, but also making sure that the business is also succeeding. Honest business.
