Q

What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to a huge amount of personal effort and also support from my network. I am proud of how hard I have worked but without my relationships, I never would have been able to reach where I am today. I cannot thank my people enough for supporting me and believing in me and continuing to help me grow.

Q

What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I’ve ever received came from my mother, Rhonda. She always encouraged me to be myself and to believe in my abilities. She raised me to be strong and independent and instilled in me the confidence to pursue anything I dreamed of as long as I was willing to put in the effort. She also made sure my voice was always safe and taught me that it's good to be loud when it's the right thing to do. My friend, Keri, believed in my leadership abilities long before I did and she pushed me with constant kind words and a safe pressence that never faltered. I also draw inspiration from my six-year-old daughter, who has the biggest and gentlest heart of anyone I’ve ever met. Her kindness and soft confidence continue to shape the way I want to show up in the world, reminding me of the importance of compassion and authenticity in everything I do.

Q

What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to first figure out who you are and stay true to yourself. This authenticity will help you form genuine relationships and find mentors who can guide and inspire you. Be kind to yourself—give yourself grace as you navigate your career. Work hard and pursue your passion, but always remember that your job is just one part of your life; the people you love should always come first.

Q

What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

The biggest opportunities right now are to keep pushing higher and never accept mediocrity as the standard.

Q

What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are family, genuine kindness, curiosity, and active engagement. As a single mother of two, I love incorporating them into learning experiences, including STEM activities, and encouraging them to explore our community through extracurriculars, volunteering and educational adventures. I’m deeply involved in their schooling and enjoy creating meaningful travel experiences as a family—we recently explored Greece together, which was unforgettable. I also value taking moments for myself, whether that’s indulging in a new pair of shoes or carving out a little time with loved ones. Balancing family/friends, exploration, and self-care helps me stay grounded and energized in all aspects of life.
