Tiffany Ellman

Tiffany Ellman serves as Compliance Officer for Apex Skin, one of the leading dermatology practices in Northeast Ohio with 15 offices, a research department, lab, and aesthetics services. She oversees privacy and security compliance including HIPAA, cybersecurity awareness training, policy writing, billing and coding compliance, OSHA, breach reporting, and licensure management while building a small compliance team and fostering a culture of compliance across locations. Ellman began her healthcare journey in 2004 with Genomic Health in patient advocacy, moved into nephrology for ten years where she started her compliance career, and held the role of Director of Quality Compliance and Revenue Cycle Management at AmeriCare Kidney Institute from 2019 to 2023 before joining Apex Skin about three years ago. She earned a bachelor's degree in Applied Management from Ohio University summa cum laude and is pursuing a master's in Health Administration. Her credentials include certification in privacy compliance, an ethics certification from HCCA, a certification in principles of healthcare management from MGMA, and progress toward ACMPE. Ellman is a member of HCCA, MGMA, and ADAM. Outside her professional role she has experience with nonprofit grant writing, including a $5 million youth program grant, and volunteers with the Cleveland Food Bank and Toys for Tots drives.
