Ten minutes with Tiffany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I really contribute myself now to my hard work. I look at my son, and he has really been a motivation to me. I am an extrovert. My son is an introvert, and he's often quiet to himself, but he gives me the joy, and when he sees me doing a good job, and I get that good job mom for him. What keeps me going, it's my inspiration. And also, the little girls that we serve in our program. When I show up, and they're excited that we're there, and the appreciation that they show for the service that we're providing, those are the things that really keep me going.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
I think one of the biggest… the best piece of advice was my mother told me very young that I could be and do anything that I wanted to be. And that really stood out for me in a profession, especially. There are not many African American women, doing what I'm doing, and That was the best thing that she could have told me. I could be anything that I wanted to be, believe in myself. And… Really? It was just kind of basic, like, just go out here and… Be yourself. There's nobody else like me.
