Her Story

About Tiffany

Tiffany Gaede is a fast food shift manager with more than eight years of experience in the quick service restaurant industry. She began her career at Taco Bell, where she was promoted to shift manager within a couple of years. There she oversaw daily shift operations, food preparation, and customer service in a high-volume setting. Her responsibilities included register audits, safe counts, and shift reporting, all while upholding strict health and safety standards.

She later brought her skills to Burger King in Oroville, California, working as a shift manager and earning her Certified Shift Manager designation. In this role she kept daily operations efficient, clean, and in line with brand standards, handled bank deposits and sales reporting, and built lasting relationships with regular guests. Colleagues know her for taking ownership of her work, solving problems proactively, and supporting her crew through even the busiest shifts. She holds a ServSafe certification and a high school diploma with a focus on accounting and business management from Come Back Charter.

Outside of work, Tiffany gives her time to the community through the Salvation Army and the VFW. She is guided by perseverance and a passion for serving others, and she balances a demanding night-shift schedule with caring for her family. She credits her growth to hands-on experience, and she encourages those entering the industry to stay true to themselves and never hesitate to ask questions.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tiffany

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to climbing the ladder step by step and to the hands-on experience I have gained along the way.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best advice I have received is that you have to go through it to get through it. It taught me to keep moving forward and to persevere. I have been told I am resilient, and that is because I have persevered.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be true to yourself, stay focused on what matters most, and keep going. Don't let yourself get overwhelmed. When in doubt, always ask, because there are no stupid questions.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

My primary challenge is an exhausting schedule. I work night shifts and dedicate my days off to caring for family members—including my mother-in-law and granddaughter—while managing a five-acre property, leaving me with only four to six hours of sleep a night.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

I am driven by helping others, solving problems, and bringing joy to those around me. To recharge, I immerse myself in nature—whether tending to my garden or simply enjoying the sun, breeze, and sounds of the outdoors.
