Her Story
About Tiffany
Tiffany Hamilton is a holistic practitioner, master herbalist, and psychological food coach based in Southwest Florida. She began her journey in mid-2019 during the pandemic after opening restaurants called Fresh to Deaf in Youngstown and Boardman, Ohio, to promote plant-based eating and awareness for the deaf and hard-of-hearing community. Unable to conduct clinical work in a restaurant setting due to HIPAA regulations, she established her own private practice and now works with Southwest Florida practitioners, specializing in melanated wellness for the black and brown community. Through her business, Living Foods Holistics, she provides consultations via office visits, FaceTime, or Skype, focusing on holistic approaches to skincare, beverages, and food. Tiffany draws from personal experience overcoming debilitating migraines by researching herbs like feverfew, which led her to become a master herbalist and psychological food coach. She attributes her success to persistence and proven results, including helping clients with lupus, high blood pressure, and inflammation. In Ohio, her brand fed people during the holidays by giving away free food. Tiffany advises aspiring professionals to educate themselves thoroughly, be their own case study first, and follow their heart as a mentor once told her.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tiffany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to not giving up and knowing that what I'm teaching works. I've healed people with lupus, high blood pressure, and seen results like a client who could hold a knife again after taking something holistic for inflammation. That keeps me going regardless of what the masses are doing.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Follow my heart. A mentor told me to always follow my heart and that my passion would make room for me, and that's exactly what's happened. A lot of times we go into fields that we think are gonna make a lot of money and it's not satisfying, but when I got into holistics I absolutely love it.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Know your stuff, educate yourself, and dive into it. Be your own case study first like I did with my migraines before promoting anything to clients. You have to educate yourself so you know what you're talking about when helping others.
