Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tiffany
01What do you attribute your success to?
My ability to adapt to change in property management. There is constant change, people buying and selling buildings, different leasing managers, assistants in and out, different maintenance. If you're able to adapt to change, I think that you might be okay. Some people get complacent but things change which they will in property management.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
Don't mind the small things. If the war is already won, the battles just mean to fight. You may not win every battle but the war is won. If you are in a good situation with yourself, life is going to come with battles, trials and tribulations. So never mind the small things and focus on what's really important to you and keep going.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Keep going. Don't mind the small things, put what's important in front of you, keep that the goal and the focus, and everything else would fall in line.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
My goal is to become a property manager. I am training for that role. The challenges that I face right now is just the opportunity within the company. I know that I can apply and go anywhere else but I like the company that I'm with. I've been here for 4 years, so just waiting it out for the opportunity to fit what's best for me. I always keep my kids in mind.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
My kids and how they are being raised. Their education. My work ethic, keeping things professional, getting the job done. I value organization. I value time with my kids and at work. Once your life is organized, you can thrive and be your best self.
