What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to a combination of dedication, adaptability, and a commitment to continuous learning. My career began with five years as a surgical technologist in healthcare, a foundation that instilled discipline, precision, and a deep appreciation for teamwork. Even today, I remain connected to the school where I trained, both to give back and to stay grounded in my roots. What I am most proud of is my ability to bridge the gap between diverse skill sets, transforming my background into a pathway that positioned me in a highly technological role despite not originally having a tech background. This achievement reflects my belief that perseverance, curiosity, and a willingness to embrace new challenges are essential drivers of growth and success.
What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering my industry is to embrace change and remain open to new opportunities. Don’t be afraid to pivot. Sometimes the path you start on isn’t the one that will lead you to your greatest success. Be willing to step outside your comfort zone, learn new skills, and adapt to evolving technologies and trends. Trust your instincts, seek mentorship, and remember that flexibility and resilience are powerful tools for growth in any career.
What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
The values most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity and empathy. I believe in approaching every situation with honesty, accountability, and genuine understanding, whether in professional settings or in personal relationships. As a soccer mom to my 12-year-old daughter who plays competitive soccer, I embrace the many roles I juggle daily, finding joy in wearing many hats and supporting those I care about. A highlight of my journey has been the unwavering support of my husband, Jamey Jones, who has been instrumental in helping me tackle new challenges and has been my biggest cheerleader every step of the way.
