Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tiffany

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to my ability to influence others and guide stakeholders through complex projects by helping them understand the milestones required to achieve a successful end goal. Being able to communicate clearly, build alignment, and bring different perspectives together has been an important part of my professional growth.

I believe that being an influential leader has helped me navigate increasingly complex responsibilities and move projects forward effectively. My ability to engage stakeholders, create understanding around shared objectives, and maintain focus on the larger goal has contributed significantly to where I am today.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the financial services industry is to never be afraid to ask questions or become timid around others. If you have been invited into the room, there is a reason you are there.

Remind yourself that you bring value and have something meaningful to contribute. Speak up, ask questions, share your perspective, and do not allow your age, experience level, or title to make you underestimate the value you bring to the conversation.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges I see is navigating the experience of being young in the industry and, at times, being the youngest person in the room. It can create additional hurdles, particularly when others may place greater emphasis on seniority or titles.

However, I believe this also presents an important opportunity. A title does not determine the value of someone's work or perspective. Women, in particular, should not shy away from speaking up simply because they are younger or less senior than others in the room. Everyone has the ability to add value, and building the confidence to contribute, ask questions, and share your perspective is essential to professional growth.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

In my personal life, family and the relationships I have with my loved ones are extremely important to me. I value spending meaningful time with my partner and pets and maintaining a strong sense of connection outside of my professional responsibilities.

In my professional life, I place tremendous value on the relationships I have built throughout my 10 years at DTCC. The relationships and connections I have developed with colleagues have played an important role in my experience and growth. I believe that strong relationships are fundamental to both personal fulfillment and professional success.
