About Tiffany
Tiffany Toy is a Respiratory Specialist at VERO Biotech, bringing nearly 10 years of experience in the respiratory medical device industry and an extensive clinical background in respiratory care. Before transitioning into medical device sales, she spent nearly a decade as a Registered Respiratory Therapist at Akron Children’s Hospital, where she provided care to critically ill newborn, pediatric, and adult patients and gained extensive experience in critical care and air and ground transportation. Her firsthand experience using respiratory medical devices in clinical settings inspired her transition into the medical device field, where she now combines clinical expertise with a strong customer-service focus.
At VERO Biotech, Tiffany applies her clinical knowledge and industry experience to support healthcare professionals and help advance respiratory care. Previously, she spent nearly seven years at Vapotherm, progressing through roles including Senior Clinical Manager, Executive Clinical Manager, and Account Manager. Throughout her career, she has focused on building strong customer relationships, understanding clinical needs, and collaborating on solutions that can improve patient care. She is particularly passionate about respiratory products and technologies that can make a meaningful difference in patients’ lives and believes that successful sales are built on service, trust, and problem-solving rather than transactional interactions.
Tiffany holds a Bachelor of Science in Respiratory Therapy Technology from The University of Akron and is a Registered Respiratory Therapist. Beyond her professional work, she is committed to supporting and encouraging women in the medical device industry, drawing on her experience with women's leadership initiatives to help develop her own leadership skills and create opportunities for others. Outside of her career, Tiffany is an artist who works across multiple media and design disciplines, and she enjoys reading and film. Her combination of clinical expertise, industry knowledge, creativity, and dedication to service continues to shape her contributions to respiratory healthcare.
Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tiffany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being passionate about my work, my company, and the product I represent. Having transitioned from patient care to a representative role, I focus on serving customers, understanding their challenges, solving problems, and finding ways to make things better for them. I believe in collaboration and leading with the mindset of, “What can I do for you?” rather than simply trying to make a sale.
02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
My advice to young women entering the industry is to support one another and create opportunities for each other. Progress can be slow, but we can help move it forward by recognizing women’s contributions, advocating for supportive policies such as maternity leave, recommending qualified women for opportunities, and avoiding gatekeeping. Lifting each other up is essential to creating a more inclusive industry.
