Her Story

About Tiffany

I've always been a part of sales, and I really like sales combined with the community aspect of it. Being able to pour into the community while making my profit from my full-time work was a big plus for me, and I didn't know that world existed until I came on the multifamily side of it with MDU. In my telecommunications role, I work with dealers who have contracts with different MDUs or multifamily units and HOAs, supporting them and making sure everything is taken care of on the DirecTV side. I travel a lot over the southeast region to those specific properties where they have contracts and make sure they have everything they need. On the fitness side, I've been instructing for 8 years part-time, helping women develop a routine for better health and encouraging them to take more advantage of their health while making it fun at the same time. It's always rewarding to me when I see them hit those goals or become consistent, not just because a doctor told them they need to exercise, but because they fall in love with doing it and taking care of themselves. My theater background has shaped everything I do in both parts, teaching me how to learn people, study an environment, and know how to speak in the room and become a part of the room, which has transpired into everything I do in telecommunications and fitness.

Ten minutes with Tiffany

01What do you attribute your success to?

At the end of the day, I attribute my success to trying to be a good example for my son. It's something for him to see me strive and continue to want more and do more, and it just not ending because of where I am in life right now. There's always something that you can do better, something that you can learn, so that's what drives me to keep going and not just become complacent with where I am in life right now.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

In the beginning, I would always have them ask the question to themselves: what's their why? Once figuring that out, the path makes more sense to them, and it can continue to allow them to strive in what they're doing, as long as they know their why. Figure out their why and allow that to drive them. Through that, I feel like that's where the success comes, because a lot of the times, people quit or people don't continue or look at things differently if they don't quite understand why they're doing something and what it means to them, not what it means to anyone else.

03What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

In telecommunications, I feel like things are always changing and everything is evolving now. It's not how easy everything was back in the day before all of the different technology and social media. The challenge now is to continue to pivot a lot sooner because everything is just so fast-paced. Being creative and staying on top of what's going on since everything continues to constantly change now is critical. There's also a lot of competitors in the field.

04What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Doing everything with excellence and being sincere are most important to me. Being sincere with everything that I do, but at the same time, always putting my best foot forward. I always admire people that do that, and that's the type of environment that I like to work in, so that's important to me. I try to display that, but also at the same time be a part of that and stay connected with it.
