Her Interview
Ten minutes with Tiffany
01What do you attribute your success to?
I attribute my success to being resilient and never giving up. I knew what I wanted to do and just kept pushing on. I started as a CNA and worked my way up, failing one exam but retaking it to achieve my dream of becoming an administrator.
02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?
The best career advice I've ever received is to never stop learning.
03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
It can seem very difficult to navigate what you are trying to accomplish. I took the non-traditional route through technical college and online. Knowing that there's people out there that can help you, you're not alone, and to keep following your dreams no matter what anybody says.
04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Staffing is always a challenge - retention and recruiting. The opportunity is trying to have more of a positive look on skilled nursing facilities to get more people to want to come work there, as not all nursing homes are the same.
05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?
Play hard, work harder. Honesty, humanity, humility, and resilience. Just being resilient is something I go by.
