Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tiffany

01What do you attribute your success to?

I have always tried to approach challenges with a mindset of learning something new rather than being intimidated by them. That has helped me move from the technical engineering side of my work into project management, where I now get to bring together both technical understanding and leadership. I also believe success is never achieved alone. My mentors and colleagues have played a significant role in my growth, and I’m grateful for the people who have shaped my career.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

One of the best pieces of advice I received was to take full ownership of everything I can control. In projects and in careers, things rarely go perfectly. Instead of focusing on obstacles, I focus on what I can learn from the situation and how I can help move things forward.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering this industry is to lead with curiosity, seek knowledge, and trust that your voice carries value. While my career has taken place largely within male‑dominated settings, but that is changing—and women have powerful opportunities to shape the future of the field. Immerse yourself in learning, surround yourself with supportive mentors and peers, and welcome challenges that push your limits. The most profound growth in my journey has come from stepping into spaces that once felt unfamiliar.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges in my field is aligning many different teams and perspectives toward a common goal. Each group has different priorities, so effective communication and collaboration become essential.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that matter most to me are integrity and leading with a balance of strength and kindness. Early in my career I thought leadership meant you had to be tough all the time, but over time I realized the most effective leaders balance strength with empathy; decisive and compassionate. They hold high standards but also care deeply about the people they work with.
