Ten minutes with Tiffeny

01What do you attribute your success to?

I attribute my success to hard work, resilience, and consistency, especially during challenging times and moments of adversity. I have learned that success requires perseverance and the determination to keep moving forward, even when the path is difficult or does not look the way I originally envisioned. Everyone’s journey is different, and each person must carve out their own path to achieve their goals. By staying focused, remaining committed, and continuing to put in the work, I believe it is possible to overcome obstacles, grow professionally, and reach the level of success and seniority you aspire to achieve.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

The best career advice I have ever received is that I can achieve anything I set my mind to as long as I remain committed and persistent. Success does not always happen overnight, but by staying focused, continuing to learn, and putting in consistent effort, I can overcome challenges and reach my professional goals. This advice has reminded me of the importance of resilience, determination, and believing in my ability to grow and succeed.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

My advice to young women entering the payroll industry is to approach their work with passion, purpose, and a genuine commitment to helping others. Payroll is more than processing numbers; it directly impacts people’s livelihoods, and it requires integrity, confidentiality, empathy, and attention to detail. When you care about the people you support and approach challenges with understanding and compassion, you are better equipped to build trust and make a meaningful impact. Stay passionate about your work, continue developing your skills, and remember that the value you bring extends beyond the processes and systems you manage.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

One of the biggest challenges and opportunities in payroll today is navigating system integration as organizations continue to evolve and adopt new technologies. Companies are constantly implementing new programs, processes, and tools to support business growth and employee needs, and payroll systems must be able to adapt to these changing requirements. When existing systems do not have the functionality needed to support new demands, it requires problem-solving, collaboration, and innovation to develop effective solutions. I view these challenges as opportunities to improve processes, enhance efficiency, and help organizations create more seamless payroll operations.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

The values that are most important to me in both my work and personal life are integrity, communication, truth, dignity, and compassion. I believe integrity is the foundation of trust, and I strive to always be honest, accountable, and respectful in my interactions with others. Strong communication allows for collaboration, understanding, and meaningful relationships, while treating others with dignity and compassion ensures that people feel valued and supported. These principles guide the way I approach my work, my relationships, and the impact I strive to make every day.
