About Tina
Tina Boyd, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, is an accomplished enterprise HR executive and founder of Boyd HR Consulting, with more than 20 years of leadership experience spanning higher education, corporate, and manufacturing environments. Her expertise centers on workforce optimization, organizational transformation, operational performance, employee relations, and strategic human resources. Through her consulting practice, Tina works with colleges, universities, and organizations to strengthen HR functions, support leadership transitions, and create more effective and sustainable people operations.
Throughout her career, Tina has partnered with boards, presidents, CEOs, and executive teams to align workforce strategies with organizational priorities. She has supported workforces of up to 3,000 employees and institutions serving as many as 45,000 students, leading initiatives involving employee engagement, retention, leadership development, labor relations, compliance, organizational restructuring, and process improvement. Her experience also includes interim CHRO leadership, HR department assessments, culture change, classification and compensation initiatives, and the development of systems and processes that improve accountability and operational efficiency.
Tina holds a B.S. in Human Resources Development from Mt. Olive College and an MBA in Human Resource Management from Delta State University. She maintains senior professional certifications as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM-SCP and has been a member of the Society for Human Resource Management for more than two decades. Her commitment to developing people and strengthening organizations also extends to community service, including board service with United Way of West Tennessee.
