Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tina

01What do you attribute your success to?

Just being a good person and having a good heart. In this field, it's a lot of inmates that have led a lifestyle to where they hate people in law enforcement, but I find that when they see me in their worst days, they still see me and know that I'm going to do right by them. My sense of self and just being a good person overall shines through. I just stick with being myself, staying true to who I am.

02What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Just don't judge, you know, know that at the end of the day, it's one situation, one choice that could change your life, and always make the right decisions, and just do the right thing. I feel like I was always one decision away from being in their shoes.

03What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Family. Everything I do revolves around my family. It's just mostly family now with my grandkids.
