Her Story

About Tina

Tina Leggbellossi serves as a senior real estate paralegal at Sklarkirsch LLP in Los Angeles, California. She has been in the field since 1994, initially joining a real estate law firm after being unable to secure work in intellectual property. Tina performs real estate transactions and a significant amount of corporate work that supports those deals. She began her tenure at Percher Nickels, which has since merged into another firm, and has played a key role in building Sklarkirsch by developing client relationships and supporting the growth of the real estate team from its early days with just a few attorneys. Tina graduated high school and completed some college classes in Boise, Oregon, and California, though she did not finish a degree. She attributes her success to the strong work ethic she developed growing up on a farm in Idaho, where her father raised cattle. Tina values honesty, sharing knowledge with peers, and treating all clients with equal respect regardless of their size.

Her Interview

Ten minutes with Tina

01What do you attribute your success to?

I think it's probably growing up on a farm and understanding the value of work. My dad raised cattle in Idaho.

02What’s the best career advice you’ve ever received?

An attorney told me there is no such thing as a career opportunity that results in a pay cut. Demand the pay that's commensurate with your skills and experience, and don't undercut yourself financially.

03What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?

Be strong, be prepared to work hard, and definitely learn as much as you can about AI. It's become such an integral part of our practice.

04What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?

AI is both a challenge and an opportunity. It's a great tool to help process work more quickly, but the system has already learned more than I have in a lifetime, so you have to learn how to use it because you can't not use it.

05What values are most important to you in your work and personal life?

Honesty is important to me. Being honest and forthright. Sharing knowledge... treat everyone the same. I do not treat the big clients better than the little clients.
