About Tina
Tina Lenneman serves as Vascular Franchise Strategy Manager in the upstream marketing arm of the vascular Therapies franchise at Boston Scientific, a position she has held for approximately nine months. She entered the medical device industry full time in 2014 upon completing her PhD and has accumulated over a decade of experience in research and development across a variety of roles in medium and large medical device companies. Her R&D career progressed through technical leadership, management, and strategic positions, culminating in her appointment as an R&D fellow. In that role she co-led strategy for the chronic venous insufficiency franchise, led an exploratory R&D team, and advanced multiple strategic initiatives that shaped the direction of the business. She recently completed her MBA and remains committed to working in areas that leverage her skills to serve as many people as possible.

01What advice would you give to young women entering your industry?
Being genuine and true to yourself, and knowing that the path isn't always going to be easy. But going after what drives you is really important. If you're early on, it is so helpful to be a sponge. Just taking in whatever information that you can really helps you to be a better partner in a team.
02What are the biggest challenges or opportunities in your field right now?
Making sure that we continue to be great critical thinkers. Finding time to do deep work and continue to reflect and learn within your field to make sure that you're critically thinking about the work that you're doing, and how that fits into the bigger picture. It will continue to get more challenging as there are more pulls on our attention.
